Coronavirus FAQ

As a mutual organisation, our only purpose is to look after the professional interests of our members around the world and during the current crisis we will be working hard to support you however we can.

The number of enquiries relating to COVID-19 is unprecedented, and in many instances the questions we are being asked are the same – regardless of the country in which the member practises. So, in an effort to answer as many as possible, the FAQs in these pages are reflective of the advice we are sharing with members around the world.

Our main FAQ  are globally relevant* with any small location and country specific information clearly marked in the answers. For ease of use we have grouped these into two groups:

  • Membership and indemnity support
  • Medicolegal and clinical guidance

* Due to the differences in the healthcare system in New Zealand, bespoke FAQ can be found from the home page as Membership and indemnity support FAQ and Medicolegal and clinical guidance FAQ.

Location specific FAQ

The FAQ lists linked below feature questions specific to practising in the specific locations.
If you have specific enquiries relating to the country or location in which you practise that are not covered here, please consult your local government and regulatory body for guidance.
