Bonnie is an advocate for mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. Her work transforming companies through the integration of wellbeing into business strategy has received numerous awards across various sectors.
Dr Katie Grant
Medicolegal Consultant, Medical Protection
Dr Katie Grant initially studied pharmacology, then completed her medical degree in Southampton, UK, in 2005. She also completed a master’s degree in medical law at King’s College London and passed the Diploma in Legal Medicine. She enjoys assisting doctors with a wide range of medicolegal matters, and participating in talks and educational activities.
Dr Rob Hendry
Medical Director, Medical Protection
Rob developed an interest in medical law and completed an MPhil in law and ethics in medicine at Glasgow University. In 2013, he became Medical Director of Medical Protection, and is currently responsible for medicolegal services delivered by Medical Protection to members worldwide.
Dr Graham Howarth
Medicolegal Lead, Medical Protection
Graham qualified as a doctor at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. He then went on to qualify as an obstetrician and gynaecologist at the same institute before completing his master’s degree in bioethics. He is a medicolegal consultant at Medical Protection and is the lead on medical services for South Africa.
David Kan
Partner, Solicitor Advocate, Howse Williams
David is a dually qualified medical doctor and solicitor. He moved over to law almost 30 years ago and has specialised in healthcare law ever since. He appreciates the importance of getting involved in a case and managing the evidence and strategies from day one.
Jaime C. Y. Lam
Partner, Mayer Brown
Jaime has extensive experience in defending healthcare professionals in civil, disciplinary, and criminal matters in the context of clinical practice, acting as an advocate at death inquests and disciplinary hearings involving doctors and dentists.
Dr Danny Lee
Senior Medical Advisor, Medical Protection
Danny obtained his doctorate degree in medicine in 2005, and studied law in his leisure time, obtaining three post-graduate law degrees. In the field of medicolegal and ethics, Dr Lee has developed research interests in medical negligence, conflict management, and alternative dispute resolution.
Dr Uzair Sidek
Medicolegal Consultant, Medical Protection
Uzair qualified with an MBBS from the University of Malaya and is currently completing a postgraduate qualification (LLM) in medical law and ethics. Before joining Medical Protection, he worked as a Senior Principal Assistant Director at the Ministry of Health Malaysia (Medico Legal Section, Medical Practice Division).
Raja Eileen Soraya
Management Partner, Raja, Darryl & Loh
Eileen has a formidable reputation for her considerable knowledge of medical law, having acted for medical and dental practitioners for over 20 years. She currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Medico-Legal Society of Malaysia.
Christine Tsang
Partner, Kennedys Law
Christine specialises in the healthcare industry dealing with medical negligence, professional indemnity, public inquiries, and inquests. She is also the honorary legal adviser of several organisations.
